Brussels:The European Union (EU) has added three individuals and four entities to its sanctions list targeting North Korea. This move is in response to North Korea's nuclear and missile programs and its connections with Russia.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the European Council announced the adoption of these additional restrictive measures under its autonomous sanctions list on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The council highlighted that these individuals and entities are involved in supporting, promoting, or facilitating activities related to North Korea's nuclear weapons, ballistic missile, and other weapons of mass destruction programs. They are also accused of violating and evading United Nations sanctions.
With these latest additions, the EU's sanctions list on North Korea now includes 80 individuals and 25 entities.
