Seoul:The financial watchdog is set to hold an emergency meeting with the heads of several banks and financial firms that have recently experienced information leaks due to hacking attacks.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Financial Services Commission Chairman Lee Eog-weon will lead the meeting on Sunday afternoon. The meeting will involve the chief executive officers of the affected firms and is anticipated to focus on response strategies.
Recent hacking incidents have led to the leakage of customer and other sensitive information from several financial institutions, including Hana Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, and Shinhan Bank. Initially planned for Wednesday, the meeting has been rescheduled to Sunday due to the spreading impact on more financial institutions in the past few days.
