Seoul: GS on Tuesday reported a second-quarter net income of 1.13 trillion won (US$798.9 million), marking an impressive increase of 1,180.5 percent from the same period last year. The substantial growth reflects the company's strong performance across various sectors including energy, construction, and retail services.
According to Yonhap News Agency, GS revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter reached 1.71 trillion won, a significant rise from the 486 billion won recorded in the previous year. Additionally, the company's revenue experienced a notable 24.9 percent increase, amounting to 7.41 trillion won for the quarter. The results underscore GS's robust operational strategies and market presence.
