Hanwha Aerospace and LG Energy Solution See Gains in KOSPI 200 Amid Broad Market Declines

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed performance with notable increases in the shares of Hanwha Aerospace and LG Energy Solution, amidst widespread declines in other stocks. Hanwha Aerospace closed at 1,177,000, marking an increase of 31,000, while LG Energy Solution rose by 6,500 to close at 357,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies faced declines in their stock prices. Samsung Electronics Mechanical saw a significant drop, falling by 53,000 to close at 1,387,000. Hyundai Heavy Industries also experienced a decline, with its stock price dropping by 76,000 to 2,908,000. Additionally, KumhoPetrochem and KCC both faced substantial losses, with their prices decreasing by 2,900 and 17,000, respectively.

In contrast, OCI Holdings and Hanmi Science saw positive movement, with OCI Holdings increasing by 5,000 to close at 277,500, and Hanmi Science rising by 550 to 45,150. Other companies like Nongshim and Hanwha Solutions also posted gains with increases of 12,500 and 650, respectively.

Despite these pockets of growth, the overall market sentiment appeared bearish, with major companies like Samsung SDS and POSCO Holdings seeing declines of 2,500 and 4,500, respectively. The market showed a diverse range of outcomes, reflecting varying investor confidence across different industries.
