Seoul: HD Hyundai, the holding company of South Korea's leading shipbuilding conglomerate, on Friday reported its second-quarter net income of 3.17 trillion won (US$2.2 billion), marking a significant increase of 550.2 percent from the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating income for the April-June period surged by 262.2 percent year-on-year, reaching 4.12 trillion won. Additionally, the company's sales saw a substantial growth of 30.2 percent, totaling 22.4 trillion won.
