Seoul: HD Hyundai Co. on Thursday reported its fourth-quarter net profit of 1.42 trillion won (US$989.2 million), up 83.4 percent from a year earlier. The increase highlights a significant improvement in the company's financial performance compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that it posted an operating profit of 1.97 trillion won for the quarter, a notable rise from 878.2 billion won a year ago. Additionally, HD Hyundai's revenue saw an increase of 9.6 percent, reaching 18.73 trillion won.
