Bandar Seri Begawan - Brunei Darussalam is currently experiencing a transitional weather period that is expected to last until the end of November 2023. According to a press release from the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department, local wind patterns are a significant factor affecting daily weather during this period. Radio Television Brunei reported that active weather conditions are forecasted from the 17th of October until early Sunday morning.

The forthcoming weather conditions are influenced by a low-pressure system over the region and the local wind effects, which will lead to a moister atmosphere and enhance the formation of rain clouds. Occasional heavy thundershowers are anticipated, affecting many areas of the country especially in the afternoon and at night. Wind gusts may reach up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near these heavy thundershowers. The sea state over Brunei waters is expected to remain generally slight, below 1 meter. The public is advised to take appropriate precautions in light of the forecasted active weather.
