Tokyo: Swimmer Hwang Sun-woo expressed contentment after securing a bronze medal in the men's 100-meter freestyle swimming race at the Asian Games, despite not achieving his desired time.

In the lead-up to the Asian Games, Hwang frequently mentioned his affection for the Tokyo Aquatics Centre, where he had previously set an Asian record in the 100m freestyle during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Hwang admitted feeling stronger now compared to five years ago and acknowledged the room for improvement in his performance. As the Asian Games progress, Hwang is set to compete in additional events, including the 200m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle relay.
He identified the final stretch of the race as an area for improvement and expressed his desire to continue adding to his medal tally.
