Hyundai and Kia Set to Break 100 Trillion Won Market Cap Barrier

SEOUL - The total market capitalization of Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp is on track to exceed 100 trillion won this year. Industry analysts on Sunday noted that the combined value of the two companies currently stands at 94.38 trillion won, with Hyundai Motor at 50.23 trillion won and Kia at 44.14 trillion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this marks a significant increase from their values at the beginning of the year, driven by a 16.9% rise in Hyundai’s stock and a 9.8% increase in Kia’s. Despite a drop in vehicle production this quarter, upgraded sales of higher-value models are expected to boost their market cap back above the 100 trillion won threshold achieved briefly last month.
