Hyundai and Kia Showcase New EVs at Los Angeles Auto Show

SEOUL - Hyundai Motor Co. and its affiliate Kia Corp. have unveiled their latest electric vehicles (EVs) and concept models at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, marking a significant expansion of their electric portfolios. Hyundai introduced the Ioniq 5 N, its first high-performance EV for the North American market. The model features a high-output 84 kilowatt-hour battery and an all-wheel-drive system, delivering a combined output of 448 kilowatts. Additionally, Hyundai revealed its all-new 2024 Santa Fe SUV, highlighting its robust exterior and spacious interior.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kia, on the other hand, conducted a pre-launch event, unveiling two concept models: the EV3 and EV4. The EV3, characterized by Kia's new digital Tiger Face design, presents a compact yet robust design language. Meanwhile, the EV4 represents Kia's innovative approach to the future of electric sedans, embodying the company's "Opposite United" design philosophy. These unveilings reflect the companies' commitment to strengthening their positions in the EV market.
