K-Pop Group Rescene Releases New EP “Pulse” Aiming for Lasting Success

Seoul:Rescene, a prominent girl group in the K-pop industry, has released their latest album, "Pulse," signaling their ambition to attain enduring success rather than short-lived fame. The group, known for their vibrant style, unveiled the album at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, marking their first new music in four months. This release follows the success of their remake single "Pretty Girl," which achieved several first-place victories on major television music programs.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Rescene previously topped domestic music charts with their 2024 release "Love Attack," which gained popularity due to a viral meme. The group, which debuted in 2024 under The Muze Entertainment, a small-to-midsize agency, saw a surge in popularity after a self-produced video clip went viral on platforms like YouTube. In the video, a playful interaction among the members, particularly Japanese member Minami's cheerful shout of "Geoje, yaho!" while joking about visiting member Woni's hometown, captivated audiences.

The group's newfound fame has earned them the nickname "miracle of an idol group from a small agency." Woni expressed her fondness for being associated with the term "miracle," attributing the group's success to the unwavering support of their fans. She emphasized the group's intent to showcase a new facet of their musical and performance abilities through this album.

Liv, another member, expressed her desire for the phrase "Rescene that you can trust" to become a defining characteristic of the group. May, also a member, highlighted the group's commitment to building a career that transcends fleeting online trends, aiming to be cherished by fans for the long term.

The new EP "Pulse" includes five tracks "With," "Finest Thing," "Inside Out," "Meme," and "Dragon." The lead track "With" is noted for its dynamic progression from a lyrical intro to an explosive chorus, capturing the essence of pursuing a calling voice to meet a long-awaited counterpart. May remarked on the passion and determination embedded in the album, aiming to resonate with audiences and make their hearts race with excitement.
