According to Yonhap News Agency, Chair of the Democratic National Committee, Harris achieved a majority of delegate votes in a virtual voting process that began just a day prior. The process was expedited due to the early withdrawal of President Joe Biden from the race following intense scrutiny over his performance in recent debates. Harrison expressed pride in Harris’s swift accumulation of delegate support, which concluded in her favor ahead of the Democratic National Convention.
