KG Mobility’s April Sales Rise 6.5 Pct on Increased Exports

Seoul: KG Mobility Corp. reported on Monday a 6.5 percent increase in sales for April compared to the same month last year, primarily driven by a surge in exports. The automaker announced that it sold a total of 9,512 vehicles last month, marking a 6.5 percent rise from April of the previous year. This total includes complete knock-down (CKD) units.

According to Yonhap News Agency, exports experienced a significant boost, climbing 13.8 percent year-on-year to reach 6,130 units. However, domestic sales saw a decline, falling 4.6 percent to 3,382 units. The increase in overseas demand was largely fueled by the popularity of the Musso and Torres EVX sport utility vehicles (SUVs), which recorded sales of 1,336 units and 1,830 units, respectively.

The strong performance in exports underscores KG Mobility's successful strategy in expanding its global footprint, especially in the SUV segment. The company's ability to capitalize on international markets has helped offset the dip in domestic sales, highlighting the importance of export-driven growth in its business model.
