Kia’s PV5 Earns Multiple Recognitions at Major British Automotive Awards

Seoul: South Korea's second-largest carmaker, said Friday its PV5 purpose-built vehicle (PBV) van has earned multiple recognitions at a major British automotive awards. At the 2026 What Car? Van and Commercial Vehicle Awards, the PV5 won three honors, including the top Van of the Year title, the company said in a press release.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the PV5 Cargo secured both the Best Small Electric Van and overall Van of the Year awards, with judges citing its real-world driving range, as well as its driver comfort and customer support. The PV5 Passenger, offering a driving range of 412 kilometers per charge and backed by a seven-year warranty, was named Best Van-Based MPV.

"The new Kia PV5 combines the payload capabilities businesses will expect, with the sort of ease of use and long-distance comfort they might not," said Steve Huntingford, editor of What Car? The recognition is expected to support Kia's efforts to expand its presence in Britain's light commercial vehicle (LCV) market, the company said.

Kia said it plans to expand its PBV lineup with the launch of the PV7 in 2027, followed by the PV9 in 2029.
