SEOUL — Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI) announced a substantial increase in its second-quarter net profit, which soared by 459.6 percent to 55.4 billion won (US$40.1 million). This performance significantly exceeded analysts' expectations and represents a strong upward trajectory for the company in the aerospace sector.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company’s operating income for the April-June period surged by 784.5 percent to 74.3 billion won, while sales grew by 21.6 percent to 891.8 billion won. These figures surpassed market forecasts, with analysts surveyed by Yonhap Infomax initially projecting a net profit of around 41.6 billion won. The company's remarkable financial results reflect its growing influence and success in the aerospace industry, both domestically and internationally.
