Seoul:The Korea Exchange (KRX) has decided to pause its plan to delist certain small-cap stocks following recent court rulings. This decision affects companies that were at risk of being delisted due to stricter market capitalization requirements.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Seoul Southern District Court granted injunctions to two companies, Jooyon and KM Pharmaceutical, which prevented their delisting last Friday. These companies, alongside six others, had been threatened with delisting due to their market values not meeting the new criteria.
The KRX has announced that delisting procedures have been halted for the companies involved since last Friday. Nevertheless, the exchange will maintain its suspension of transactions for stocks identified under the tightened rules.
