Seoul: The Korea Exchange, South Korea's main bourse operator, announced plans to introduce weekly options on four single heavyweight stocks later this month. This initiative is set to provide investors with enhanced tools to manage market volatility, as the weekly options will have expirations every Thursday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korea Exchange has selected Samsung Electronics Co., SK hynix Inc., Hyundai Motor Co., and LG Energy Solution Ltd. as the four heavyweight stocks for these new weekly options. The introduction of these options, scheduled for launch on June 29, is part of the bourse's strategy to offer more flexible and responsive investment instruments.
