Korea Interbank Offered Rates See Minor Adjustments Across Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) showed slight changes in several terms as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m. today. The rates for the 1-week and 1-month terms remained steady at 2.75% and 2.84%, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 2-month KORIBOR experienced a minor increase, moving from 2.92% in the previous session to 2.93%. Similarly, the 3-month term also saw a slight rise, shifting from 3.02% to 3.03%. The 6-month and 12-month terms followed this trend of incremental changes, climbing to 3.29% from 3.28% and to 3.66% from 3.65%, respectively.

These adjustments in KORIBOR reflect ongoing market conditions and provide insights into the short-term interest rate environment in South Korea. The KORIBOR rates are essential for financial institutions as they serve as benchmark rates for various lending and investment activities in the interbank market.
