Korea Petro Chemical Ind Reports Q2 Loss Amid Slight Revenue Increase

Seoul - Korea Petro Chemical Ind Co. remains in financial difficulty, reporting a net loss of 1.8 billion won (approximately US$1.3 million) for the second quarter, as detailed in a recent regulatory filing.

According to Yonhap News Agency, The company disclosed that while its revenue for the April to June period increased by 17.2 percent to 741.6 billion won, it continued to experience operational challenges with an operating loss of 6.3 billion won. This marks a significant reduction from the 35.1 billion won loss recorded in the same period last year, yet it still surpassed the average loss estimate by 5.2 percent, according to Yonhap Infomax. This financial performance indicates ongoing struggles within the company to return to profitability despite the increased revenue.
