KORIBOR Rates Remain Steady Across Short-Term Periods

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained steady across most short-term periods, with slight movement observed in the 12-month term. The rates, as reported by Yonhap Infomax, were released at 11:00 a.m., reflecting stability in Korea's interbank lending market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, and 3-month KORIBOR rates all held steady at 2.50%, 2.60%, 2.69%, and 2.78% respectively, maintaining the same levels as the previous session. The 6-month rate also remained unchanged at 2.82%.

The only variation was observed in the 12-month KORIBOR, which saw a marginal decrease from 2.91% to 2.90%. This minor adjustment indicates a slight shift in the longer-term lending expectations among banks.

The consistent rates across most terms suggest a stable economic environment and lending conditions in the short-term interbank market in Korea. The KORIBOR serves as a critical benchmark for various financial instruments and lending agreements within the country.
