KOSPI 200 Closes with Notable Gains for Key Companies

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw significant movements in its closing prices, with several companies experiencing notable changes. Among the companies listed, Samsung Electronics Mechanical and Kumho Petrochem were some of the top gainers, while S-1 and DB HiTek faced declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics Mechanical witnessed a substantial increase, closing at 1,999,000, up 285,000 from its previous price. Kumho Petrochem also reported a rise, closing at 134,700, an increase of 11,500. Other notable gainers included Hyundai Wia, which closed at 82,000, up 5,100, and Samsung Epis Holding, which saw a rise of 5,000, closing at 451,500.

In contrast, some companies faced declines. S-1 experienced a decrease, closing at 77,500, down 11,200, while DB HiTek closed at 161,200, down 13,100. KEPCO KPS also saw a drop, with a closing price of 54,000, down 9,900.

Other companies that recorded gains include Samsung F and M Insurance, closing at 676,000, up 22,000, and HDKSOE, which rose by 24,000 to close at 422,000. Hanwha Aerospace showed a modest increase, closing at 1,084,000, up 6,000.

The day's trading also saw some companies remaining stable, with HtlShilla maintaining its price at 55,500. The overall performance of the KOSPI 200 highlighted varied outcomes for different sectors, with technology and manufacturing companies generally showing positive trends.
