SEOUL: The KOSPI 200 index, a market capitalization-weighted index of 200 Korean stocks, experienced a day of mixed trading results.
According to Yonhap News Agency, 200 closing price list-5, several companies saw notable changes in their stock prices.
POSCO FUTURE M saw a decline of 19,000 to close at 236,500. Hyundai Steel had a minor uptick, rising by 100 to close at 32,750. Shinsegae rose by 2,300 to close at 168,800. On the downside, SGBC fell by 1,050 to close at 49,350, while LotteChilsung increased by 3,000 to close at 145,500.
The technology sector also showed some movement, with SamsungElec closing down by 400 at 66,900 and SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD. decreasing by 26,500 to 425,500. SK hynix also declined, dropping 2,800 to close at 116,300.
According to the same source, other sectors experienced fluctuations as well. In the automotive sector, Kia Corp saw a decline of 1,200 to close at 76,900. In the entertainment sector, HYBE remained static at 219,500. AMOREPACIFIC saw a notable rise, increasing by 12,600 to close at 126,400.
