KOSPI 200 Ends Mixed as NAVER and CJ CheilJedang Lead Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed trend with some stocks experiencing significant gains while others recorded declines. NAVER closed at 227,500, marking an increase of 2,000, while CJ CheilJedang rose by 5,000 to close at 250,000. Meanwhile, losses were noted for Hanwha Ocean and SAMSUNG CARD, which fell by 3,800 and 850, respectively.



According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies witnessed notable price movements. LOTTE WELLFOOD saw a rise of 3,800 to reach 108,700, and LG Chem increased by 4,000, closing at 221,000. On the other hand, LG Display and Kakao experienced declines, with LG Display down by 90 to close at 9,220, and Kakao dropping by 2,000 to settle at 42,500.



Additionally, stocks such as KT and Youngone Corp saw upward trends. KT increased by 500 to close at 45,850, while Youngone Corp’s stock rose by 1,150, ending at 45,700. In contrast, SAMSUNG LIFE and Hyundai Rotem faced downturns, with SAMSUNG LIFE closing 1,100 lower at 89,800, and Hyundai Rotem down by 900 to finish at 78,700.



Further movements included L and F’s increase of 800 to 81,800 and ShinhanGroup’s rise of 150, closing at 49,400. Meanwhile, LGELECTRONICS and Korea Aerospace saw reductions in their stock prices, with LGELECTRONICS down by 500 to 79,100 and Korea Aerospace falling 1,750 to 49,950.



The market’s varied performance reflects fluctuating investor sentiment, with certain companies showing resilience while others face pressures.
