Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced substantial declines in the closing prices of its stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange this Friday. Notable companies such as SK hynix and Hyundai Mtr faced significant downturns, with SK hynix closing at 2,673,000 KRW, a decrease of 244,000 KRW, and Hyundai Mtr ending the day at 480,500 KRW, down by 22,500 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other prominent declines were seen in companies like Youngpoong, which fell by 2,150 KRW to close at 38,450 KRW, and SamsungF and MIns, which decreased by 15,000 KRW to 636,000 KRW. HANALL BIOPHARMA and Kogas also experienced drops, ending at 57,800 KRW and 31,900 KRW, respectively. HyundaiEng and Const and Yuhan saw declines of 9,300 KRW and 4,900 KRW, closing at 103,300 KRW and 66,400 KRW.
The downturn extended to companies such as SLCORP, CJ LOGISTICS, and Hyundai M and F INS, which closed at 54,800 KRW, 71,800 KRW, and 34,400 KRW, respectively. Taihan Cable and Solution and Daesang also reported declines, finishing at 31,000 KRW and 15,980 KRW. While most stocks faced declines, DN AUTOMOTIVE bucked the trend by increasing slightly by 50 KRW to close at 36,750 KRW.
Overall, the closing prices of the KOSPI 200 stocks reflect a challenging day for the market, with widespread declines across various sectors.
