KOSPI 200 Mixed Performance as LG Innotek and SK hynix See Notable Declines

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed trading session today with significant fluctuations among its constituent stocks. Notable movements included LG Innotek and SK hynix, both of which saw considerable declines in their stock prices, while others like KPIC and Asia Holdings posted gains.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Innotek's shares fell by 20,000, closing at 668,000, while SK hynix saw a substantial reduction of 240,000, bringing its stock price down to 1,842,000. These declines were part of a broader trend where several technology and manufacturing companies experienced downturns.

Conversely, KPIC registered an increase of 900, closing at 105,400. Asia Holdings also saw an impressive rise, with its stock price increasing by 9,600 to end the session at 184,300. Other companies such as GS Retail and S-Oil witnessed upward movements, with GS Retail climbing by 700 to 26,400 and S-Oil gaining 4,500 to reach 144,900.

Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. faced a downturn with a reduction of 19,500, closing at 434,500. Similarly, Samsung Electronics saw a decrease of 24,500, closing the day at 255,000. In the automotive sector, Hyundai Motor saw a decline of 9,000, ending at 425,000, while KIA Corporation experienced a rise of 4,700, closing at 149,700.

Other notable changes included Orion Holdings, which increased by 350 to 26,050, and KEPCO, which saw a modest rise of 150 to 34,050. Meanwhile, Doosan's shares dropped significantly by 87,000, closing at 1,202,000.

The varied performance highlights the ongoing volatility in the market, with both gains and losses observed across different sectors and companies.
