KOSPI 200 Mixed Performance on Korea Stock Exchange

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange exhibited a mixed performance at the close of trading on Friday. Several stocks saw gains, while others experienced declines, reflecting varied investor sentiment across different sectors.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Corp closed at 111,900 KRW, marking an increase of 100 KRW. POSCO FUTURE M saw a rise of 1,700 KRW, closing at 183,900 KRW. Hyundai Steel experienced a significant uptick, closing at 36,000 KRW with an increase of 1,900 KRW. Shinsegae and Doosan also saw substantial gains, closing at 362,500 KRW and 1,447,000 KRW, respectively.

Conversely, some companies faced declines. Nongshim dropped by 5,500 KRW to 391,500 KRW, while Yuhan decreased by 1,600 KRW, closing at 75,900 KRW. POSCO Holdings and DB Insurance also saw reductions in their stock prices, closing at 323,000 KRW and 186,900 KRW, respectively.

In the automotive sector, Kia Corp. and HyundaiMtr recorded gains, closing at 121,900 KRW and 365,000 KRW, respectively. Samsung Electronics also saw a notable increase, closing at 261,000 KRW with a rise of 8,500 KRW.

Other notable movements included SK hynix, which increased by 112,000 KRW to 1,857,000 KRW, and LS, which rose by 21,500 KRW to close at 325,500 KRW. However, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries faced a decline, closing at 460,000 KRW, down by 9,500 KRW.

The day's trading reflected a varied landscape for investors, with some sectors experiencing growth while others faced challenges.
