Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced mixed movements, with several major stocks closing lower. The index saw notable declines in some key players' share prices, impacting the overall market performance.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Shinsegae's stock closed at 335,500, down by 10,000. SLCORP saw a decrease of 3,700, ending at 64,500. Yuhan's shares fell by 1,500 to close at 98,700, while DongwonInd closed at 39,050, down by 1,300. NHIS also marked a decline, ending at 33,400, down by 800.
Among other significant movements, LS increased by 8,500 to close at 290,500, whereas HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw a substantial drop of 23,000, closing at 567,000. GC Corp and DB Insurance both experienced declines, closing at 145,200 and 184,500, respectively. SamsungElec recorded a decrease of 8,000, ending at 200,500.
Despite the downward trend in many stocks, some companies experienced gains. DWEC's price rose by 1,300 to close at 16,170, while HANJINKAL increased by 5,900, ending at 128,000. SamsungElecMech saw a significant rise of 15,500, closing at 479,500. Other gainers included ISUPETASYS and GS Retail.
Several other companies faced downward pressure. LG Energy Solution dropped by 12,500, closing at 371,000, while HYOSUNG HEAVY decreased by 38,000 to 2,693,000. SKSQUARE saw a decline of 19,000, ending at 611,000. TaekwangInd and SamyangFood also reported decreases in their share prices.
