Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed movements with notable performances from Samsung Biologics and Hyundai Motor. Among the top gainers, Samsung Biologics saw a significant rise in its stock price, closing at 1,606,000, marking an increase of 21,000. Similarly, Hyundai Motor witnessed a notable gain, closing at 495,000, up by 5,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also experienced positive shifts. Noteworthy gains were recorded for LG Innotek and Krafton, which closed at 320,500 and 254,500 respectively, marking increases of 17,500 and 13,000. Additionally, HDHMS and Hyundai Glovis reported increases, closing at 183,900 and 231,500, up by 5,000 and 4,000 respectively.
On the other hand, several companies faced declines. HD Hyundai Electric experienced a substantial decrease, closing at 915,000, down by 50,000. SKSQUARE and HD Hyundai also saw declines, closing at 544,000 and 257,500, down by 14,000 and 9,000 respectively. Hanwha Engine and Doosan Bobcat also faced drops, with Hanwha Engine closing at 46,650, down by 2,550, and Doosan Bobcat closing at 59,600, down by 900.
The trading day reflected a mix of gains and losses, highlighting the dynamic nature of the stock market. While some companies experienced growth, others faced challenges, contributing to the overall varied performance of the KOSPI 200 index.
