Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks experienced a mixed day on Monday, with closing prices showing both gains and declines across various sectors on the Korea Stock Exchange. Notable movements included significant gains and losses among key players in the market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LS ELECTRIC saw a remarkable increase, closing at 207,000 KRW, up by 11,700 KRW. Similarly, KCC rose to 498,500 KRW, marking an increase of 16,500 KRW. Meanwhile, HYOSUNG HEAVY experienced one of the largest gains, closing at 2,965,000 KRW, up by 233,000 KRW. In the automotive sector, HyundaiMtr and HyundaiEngandConst also reported positive performances with increases of 9,500 KRW and 7,200 KRW, respectively.
On the downside, OCI Holdings fell by 5,500 KRW to close at 222,000 KRW, and Samsung SDI CO.,LTD. decreased by 7,000 KRW to settle at 541,000 KRW. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and OTOKI also faced declines, closing down by 1,200 KRW and 2,000 KRW, respectively. The financial sector saw mixed results, with MIRAE ASSET SEC rising modestly by 250 KRW, while SamsungFandMIns experienced a decrease of 7,000 KRW.
