KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Key Stocks Show Varied Movements

Seoul: The Korean Stock Exchange witnessed a variety of movements in the KOSPI 200 on Friday, with some stocks experiencing gains while others registered losses. Leading the upward trend, KIA Corp. saw its stock price rise by KRW 1,100 to close at KRW 155,800. Similarly, DL and Youngone Holdings also posted gains, with DL's price increasing by KRW 3,200 to KRW 62,600 and Youngone Holdings rising by KRW 3,500 to KRW 222,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other stocks that recorded gains include Hanwha, which rose by KRW 400 to reach KRW 111,500, and CJ, which also increased by KRW 3,500 to close at KRW 206,500. POSCO FUTURE M reported a notable increase of KRW 9,000, ending the day at KRW 209,000. Meanwhile, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. also saw its price climb by KRW 9,000 to KRW 405,500.

Conversely, several stocks faced declines, impacting the overall index. SK hynix experienced a significant drop of KRW 11,000, closing at KRW 922,000. DOOSAN's stock also fell, losing KRW 36,000 to finish at KRW 1,203,000. Other notable declines were seen in companies like SANIL ELECTRIC, which decreased by KRW 19,300 to KRW 149,300, and Youngpoong, which fell by KRW 1,200 to KRW 59,700.

The trading session also saw a stable performance from KBFinancialGroup, whose stock price remained unchanged. Despite mixed performances, the overall market sentiment reflected both positive and negative trends among key players in the KOSPI 200 index.
