Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance as several stocks registered significant changes. Among the notable movements, Hyundai Engineering and Construction rose by 3,700 to close at 134,900, and Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance increased by 39,000 to end at 686,000. On the other hand, SK hynix experienced a substantial decline, dropping 41,000 to close at 1,812,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies saw notable shifts in their stock prices. DB HiTek fell by 9,400, closing at 105,800, while GS Retail slightly decreased by 50 to end at 25,050. Conversely, HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering saw an increase of 14,000, finishing at 365,500, and Hanwha Aerospace gained 14,000, closing at 1,081,000.
Other companies experiencing declines included Hanmi Science, which dropped 4,800 to close at 50,300, and Korea Zinc, which fell by 45,000 to end at 1,179,000. Meanwhile, CJ Logistics and DN Automotive saw gains, rising by 500 and 600, respectively, to close at 72,200 and 46,800.
The index reflected a mix of upward and downward trends across various sectors, showcasing the dynamic nature of the stock market.
