Accra:Seoul The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed trading, with several stocks marking notable gains and others suffering losses. Among the gainers, LS surged by 12,000 to close at 231,500, leading the list of top performers. LGChem also saw a substantial increase, rising by 3,000 to reach 255,500, while LG CNS advanced by 3,700, ending the day at 72,300.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant gainers included Samsung SDS, which climbed 2,700 to 201,500, and GS, which increased by 2,000 to close at 91,000. Hyundai Rotem and POSCO Future M also posted gains, rising by 1,700 and 2,600, respectively.
Conversely, several stocks faced declines, with Defense and Aerospace experiencing the most significant drop, falling by 49,500. Nongshim also saw a notable decrease, shedding 5,500 to end at 406,000. DB Insurance declined by 2,800, closing at 185,600, and LotteChilsung decreased by 2,000, finishing at 96,500.
Overall, the trading session highlighted the volatility in individual stock performance within the KOSPI 200, reflecting a varied market environment.
