Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed performances as some companies recorded gains while others faced losses. Among the notable performers, HanmiPharm saw an increase of 5,500, closing at 491,000. On the other hand, Samsung Biologics faced a significant decline, dropping 10,000 to close at 1,363,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric was among the top gainers, with its stock rising by 6,000 to reach 1,053,000. Doosan Robotics also reported a considerable increase, with its shares going up by 6,100 to settle at 106,500. Meanwhile, Hankook Tire and Technology saw a substantial uptick of 3,800, closing at 66,800.
In contrast, some companies experienced downturns. Orion's stock fell by 4,600, ending at 129,600, and SKSQUARE saw a decline of 4,000, with its shares closing at 1,233,000. HYBE also faced a decrease, dropping 3,500 to close at 220,000.
Other companies like KRAFTON and HD Hyundai recorded gains of 2,000 each, closing at 257,500 and 277,500, respectively. Meanwhile, ECOPRO MAT experienced a decline of 2,300, ending at 62,200.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index displayed varied performances, highlighting both growth opportunities and challenges for investors in the current market landscape.
