Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a mixture of gains and losses, reflecting varied performances among its constituents. Notable upward movements were observed in several companies, while others experienced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SamsungElecMech surged by 263,000 to close at 1,142,000, marking one of the highest gains of the session. Similarly, SKSQUARE saw a rise of 239,000, closing at 1,038,000. Among other significant gainers, HD Hyundai Electric experienced an increase of 101,000 to close at 684,000, and KIH rose by 24,800, reaching 206,500. SANIL ELECTRIC also made notable gains, closing at 143,200, up by 22,400.
Conversely, several companies reported declines. SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS recorded a decrease of 42,000, ending at 1,485,000. KRAFTON faced a decline of 16,000, closing at 243,000. Other notable declines included KTandG, which dropped 6,700 to close at 179,100, and DB INSURANCE, which fell by 5,900 to end at 157,000.
Overall, while the KOSPI 200 index showed mixed results, the positive performances of several key companies contributed to an overall upward momentum in the market.
