Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed notable movements as several key players experienced significant changes in their stock prices. Leading the charge, NAVER's shares soared by 23,100 to close at 220,000, while LG Chem also made substantial gains, closing at 271,500, up by 19,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other major contributors to the upward trend included KIWOOM, which increased by 11,000 to reach 314,500. Similarly, Hyundai Glovis experienced a rise of 9,700, closing at 204,500. Notably, Samsung Life's shares climbed by 9,500, ending the day at 329,500.
In addition to these gains, several companies demonstrated robust performance. KIH's stock price went up by 6,500, reaching 221,500, while LandF and Hanwha Ocean saw their shares rise by 6,700 and 6,000, closing at 89,100 and 89,900, respectively. Doosan Bobcat and KEPCO EandC also reported increases, with their stocks closing at 69,300 and 96,100, respectively.
On the downside, JB Financial Group and Hana Financial Group faced declines, with their stocks closing at 25,550 and 130,500, down by 1,050 and 1,100, respectively. Shinhan Group also experienced a decrease, with its stock price falling by 700 to end at 103,800.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a positive trajectory, driven by the strong performances of several key players, while a few companies faced downturns amidst the market dynamics.
