KOSPI 200 Shows Varied Closing Trends in Recent Session

SEOUL - The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a range of closing values in its recent trading session, with several companies undergoing notable changes in stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, As reported by the Korea Exchange, LOTTE SHOPPING closed down 400 at 79,700, indicating a minor decrease. On the other hand, LOTTE WELLFOOD showed positive momentum, closing up 1,500 at 129,000. SAMSUNG CARD experienced a slight decline, closing down 50 at 33,000, while LOTTE TOUR saw a more significant drop, closing down 400 at 10,500.

In the construction sector, SAMSUNG C&T closed down 500 at 118,200. PanOcean, a maritime transportation company, closed up 40 at 4,340. KT, a major telecommunications company, saw a decline, closing down 300 at 32,950.

Further, in the electronics and aerospace sectors, SAMSUNG SDS and KOREA AEROSPACE closed up, at 146,400 (up 600) and 46,750 (up 700), respectively. However, LG ELECTRONICS faced a downturn, closing down 800 at 107,600.

These variations in closing prices across different industries highlight the fluctuating nature of the stock market in South Korea, with companies across the spectrum experiencing both gains and losses in their stock values.
