KOSPI 200 Stocks See Mixed Performance on Korean Exchange

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange showed a mixed performance at the close of trading on Friday, with notable fluctuations in prices across various sectors. According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Engineering and Construction closed at 106,200 KRW, experiencing a decrease of 2,700 KRW, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance increased by 6,000 KRW to reach 644,000 KRW.

Among other notable changes, HANALL BIOPHARMA saw a decline of 3,050 KRW, closing at 46,600 KRW. Meanwhile, Kogas rose by 550 KRW to close at 34,950 KRW. DL and Youngpoong both experienced a downturn, closing at 50,500 KRW and 35,250 KRW, respectively. On the other hand, Hanwha's stock increased by 1,300 KRW to reach 96,000 KRW.

SK hynix faced a significant decline of 160,000 KRW, closing at 1,759,000 KRW. Conversely, CJ Logistics and Yuhan saw increases, with CJ Logistics closing up by 600 KRW at 77,300 KRW, and Yuhan climbing by 3,500 KRW to 74,900 KRW. SLCORP and SeAH Steel Holdings both faced declines, closing at 54,300 KRW and 110,700 KRW, respectively.

Other changes included a substantial rise for Samyang Food, which increased by 24,000 KRW to close at 1,151,000 KRW. In contrast, DOOSAN faced a decrease of 85,000 KRW, ending the day at 1,191,000 KRW. POSCO INTERNATIONAL and KAL also saw declines, closing at 56,300 KRW and 25,450 KRW, respectively.

Stocks that experienced an uptick included Taekwang Industrial, which rose by 9,000 KRW to close at 891,000 KRW, and Daesang, which increased by 320 KRW to end at 17,800 KRW. ORION Holdings and Asia Holdings also reported gains, closing at 25,750 KRW and 189,900 KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, LG Corp. and POSCO FUTURE M experienced declines, closing at 97,900 KRW and 141,600 KRW, respectively.

Other notable movements included Hyundai Steel's decline of 400 KRW to 27,750 KRW, and Hyundai Motor's decrease of 31,000 KRW to 401,000 KRW. Nongshim and LotteChilsung saw gains, closing at 367,500 KRW and 100,000 KRW, respectively, while Shinsegae and KCC experienced declines, ending at 504,000 KRW and 421,500 KRW. Samsung Electronics also dropped by 20,500 KRW to 249,500 KRW.

NHIS and HD Hyundai Electric faced decreases, closing at 29,050 KRW and 810,000 KRW, respectively. Lastly, AMOREPACIFIC Holdings dropped by 50 KRW to 24,200 KRW, and COSMOCHEM decreased by 390 KRW to 9,200 KRW.
