KOSPI 200 Stocks See Significant Fluctuations in Monday Closing

Seoul: Monday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange concluded with a mix of gains and losses among the KOSPI 200 stocks. Several companies experienced significant changes in their stock prices, reflecting varied market conditions.

According to Yonhap News Agency, notable upward movements were seen in Shinsegae and NAVER, with Shinsegae closing at 517,000 KRW, up by 13,000 KRW, and NAVER climbing by 17,500 KRW to close at 225,000 KRW. SamyangFood also saw a substantial increase, rising by 69,000 KRW to reach a closing price of 1,220,000 KRW.

On the downside, OCI Holdings experienced a sharp decline, dropping by 44,000 KRW to end the day at 206,000 KRW. Hyundai Rotem also faced a significant decrease, with its stock price falling by 25,900 KRW, closing at 132,500 KRW. Other notable declines included SK, which fell by 7,000 KRW to 623,000 KRW, and SeAH Steel Holdings, which dropped by 2,800 KRW to 107,900 KRW.

Several stocks remained stable, including DongwonInd and Hyundai Steel, which closed unchanged at 35,150 KRW and 27,750 KRW, respectively. The varied performance of these stocks highlights the dynamic nature of the market as investors react to different economic indicators and company-specific news.
