Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw substantial gains across various sectors as the market closed today. Notable among the performers were Korea Zinc, which climbed by 83,000 to reach 1,695,000, and LS Electric, with an increase of 71,000 to a closing price of 833,000. These significant upward movements contributed to a positive closing for the index.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies that experienced significant gains include GC Corp, which rose by 2,600 to close at 150,900, and LS, which saw an increase of 19,000, bringing it to 282,000. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also posted a gain of 3,000, ending at 59,000. DN Automotive's shares rose by 2,150, concluding at 37,950, while Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. achieved an increase of 16,000, reaching a closing price of 405,000.
Additional companies contributing to the positive market performance included KPIC, which climbed by 10,700 to settle at 143,000, and Youngone Holdings, which experienced an uptick of 12,500 to close at 237,500. Mobis saw a rise of 17,500, ending the day at 430,000. Furthermore, Samsung Epis Holding S reported an increase of 13,000, finishing at 538,000, and S-1 gained 2,400 to close at 87,600.
Despite the overall positive trend, there were a few companies that experienced declines. Hanwha Aerospace dropped by 6,000 to 1,390,000, and Paradise saw a decrease of 110, closing at 17,960. Other companies like Samsung Heavy Industries and F and F also faced minor declines in their stock prices, with decreases of 50 and 100, respectively.
This diverse movement in stock prices reflects the dynamic nature of the market, with several companies experiencing significant growth, while others faced slight downturns.
