Seoul: Thursday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange witnessed notable gains for the KOSPI 200 stocks, as several companies closed with increased prices, reflecting a positive trend in the market. Among the top performers, DOOSAN led with a significant rise, closing at 1,073,000 KRW, marking an increase of 110,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other major gainers included HYOSUNG HEAVY, which saw its stock price rise by 187,000 KRW to close at 2,484,000 KRW. SK hynix also recorded a substantial increase, with its closing price up by 92,000 KRW to reach 941,000 KRW.
LS ELECTRIC and Mobis showed strong performances as well, closing at 701,000 KRW and 432,000 KRW, respectively, with gains of 75,000 KRW and 33,000 KRW. SamsungF and MIns and LG Energy Solution also contributed to the upward trend, with increases of 23,500 KRW and 24,000 KRW, respectively.
The technology and automotive sectors reflected positive momentum, with KIA CORP. and SK ie technology closing higher at 166,400 KRW and 22,700 KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY closed at 61,700 KRW, marking an increase of 3,500 KRW.
Despite the overall positive performance, CJ was the only stock to close lower, dropping by 3,600 KRW to 184,000 KRW. Nonetheless, the general sentiment in the market remained optimistic, as evidenced by the widespread gains across various sectors.
