Los angeles: K-pop artists, including BLACKPINK's Rose, swept multiple categories at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday night (U.S. time).
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Netflix animation sensation "KPop Demon Hunters" and its in-film girl group Huntr/x took home three awards, including Duo/Group of the Year and Favorite Soundtrack, which was decided by fan voting, as well as K-pop Song of the Year for "Golden" from its original soundtrack.
Rose, a member of BLACKPINK, won Best Collaboration for her single "APT.," with American pop star Bruno Mars, and also claimed K-pop Artist of the Year. Her bandmate Jennie earned K-pop Album of the Year with her solo release "Ruby." The K-pop Group of the Year title went to boy group Stray Kids, while the rookie group Cortis was honored as Best New Artist in K-pop.
K-pop artists maintained a strong presence in the fan-voted segments of the ceremony. J-Hope from BTS claimed two awards, winning Favorite TikTok Dance for his solo track "Mona Lisa" and Favorite K-pop Collab for "Sweet Dreams," a collaboration with American R and B singer Miguel. The Disney+ series "Are You Sure?!" starring BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, won the Favorite On Screen award, and Rahul Bhatt, who works with the U.S.-based girl group Katseye, was recognized as Favorite Tour Photographer.
Outside the K-pop categories, Taylor Swift dominated the ceremony, taking home seven awards, including Artist of the Year.
