Seoul: Director Lee Chang-dong's highly anticipated Netflix original film, "Possible Love," is slated to make its debut in Korean theaters this September, preceding its global release on the streaming platform two months later.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the film will be screened in selected local theaters starting September 23, and subsequently, it is set to be available for streaming on Netflix on November 6. This marks Lee's first feature film in eight years following his critically acclaimed "Burning" in 2018.
"Possible Love" boasts an impressive cast, including renowned actors Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong. The narrative explores the complex lives of two married couples: a laid-off worker and his wife, and a wealthy documentary filmmaker and her husband, delving into the events that transpire when their paths cross.
The film will have its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival in September, followed by its North American premiere at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival later in the same month.
