Seoul:President Lee Jae Myung is set to preside over a meeting this week to review the progress of the government's "three megaprojects" initiative, which focuses on advancing the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors, as announced by his office on Monday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the meeting, which marks the third of its kind, will take place on Tuesday at Cheong Wa Dae. It aims to explore strategies for ensuring favorable living conditions in the regions where these projects will be implemented.
The agenda will include an examination of the progress in the projects concerning semiconductors, physical AI, and AI data centers. Reports on developing livable areas will be presented by the Office for Government Policy Coordination alongside the ministries of land, education, culture, and health.
The meeting will also see participation from relevant ministers, Cheong Wa Dae officials, and senior executives from major corporations such as Samsung and SK.
