Seoul: LG Household and Health Care Co. (LG H and H) on Wednesday reported a net loss of 85.8 billion won (US$60.2 million) in 2025, marking a significant downturn from a profit of 203.9 billion won a year earlier. This shift to a net loss reflects challenges faced by the company over the past year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the year stood at 170.7 billion won, a stark decline from the 459 billion won recorded in the previous year. This decrease in profitability was accompanied by a 6.7 percent drop in annual sales, which fell to 6.35 trillion won.
The financial results highlight the difficulties LG H and H encountered in maintaining its profitability amid changing market conditions and operational challenges. The company will likely need to reassess its strategies to adapt to the evolving economic landscape and improve its financial performance in the coming years.
