Malaria Cases in South Korea Hit 12-Year High

SEOUL - The number of malaria cases in South Korea has reached the highest level in 12 years.

According to a new release by Yonhap News Agency, From January to the second week of October, a total of 719 cases were confirmed. This is the first time the number of annual cases has exceeded 700 since 2011. Of the total cases, 657 were domestically transmitted, and 62 were contracted overseas.
