Seoul: Meritz Financial Group Inc. on Thursday announced a first-quarter net income of 680.2 billion won (US$456.6 million), marking an increase of 9.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company’s operating profit for the January-March period reached 854.8 billion won, reflecting an 18.4 percent rise from the previous year. Sales for the quarter surged by 98.2 percent, totaling 16.31 trillion won. This financial performance was disclosed in a regulatory filing by the company.
