Minor Earthquake Strikes Off Jeju Island

JEJU, South Korea - A minor earthquake occurred off the southern coast of Jeju Island on Monday evening, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA). The tremor, which was recorded at a magnitude of 2.0, took place at 6:47 p.m., approximately 51 kilometers east of Seogwipo, a city on the island.

According to Yonhap News Agency, The earthquake's epicenter was identified at a depth of 20 kilometers. Despite the quake's occurrence, the KMA has confirmed that no damage is expected as a result of the tremor, providing reassurance to residents and visitors on the island.
