NCT’s Doyoung and Jungwoo Set to Enlist in South Korean Army Together in December

Seoul: Doyoung and Jungwoo, members of the K-pop supergroup NCT, will enlist in the South Korean military together in December, as announced by their agency. SM Entertainment shared on the K-pop fan community platform Weverse that the two artists are scheduled to enter the same boot camp on December 8.

According to Yonhap News Agency, after completing a five-week basic military training, Doyoung will serve as an active-duty soldier while Jungwoo will join a military band. The agency has stated that there will be no separate ceremony on the day of their enlistment and has requested fans to refrain from visiting the site to ensure safety, as it will be crowded with soldiers and their families.

In South Korea, military service is mandatory for all able-bodied men for at least 18 months. Doyoung and Jungwoo debuted as members of NCT in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and have also collaborated in NCT DoJaeJung, a unit within the 25-member boy group.
