North Korea Criticizes U.S. Aid to Ukraine as ‘Hallucinogen’

PYONGYANG - North Korea has labeled the impending U.S. military aid to Ukraine as a "hallucinogen," suggesting that the aid will not deter the ongoing conflict between Kiev and Russia.

According to Yonhap News Agency, North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Im Chon-il made these comments, highlighting the bill’s perceived ineffectiveness in stopping Russian military operations. Im emphasized the aid's temporary nature in alleviating the fears of the Ukrainian leadership. This statement arises as North Korea reportedly increases its military ties with Russia, fueling speculations about their arms dealings intended for the conflict in Ukraine. The U.S. Senate recently approved a US$61 billion aid package for Ukraine, which is pending President Joe Biden's signature.
