President Lee Gifts Bike to Egyptian President El-Sisi During State Visit

Seoul:President Lee Jae Myung is set to present a premium road bike to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who is visiting South Korea on a state visit, as announced by Cheong Wa Dae on Thursday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the bike was selected as a gift due to El-Sisi's enthusiasm for cycling and his initiatives to encourage bicycle use to enhance public health.

The Egyptian leader received an aerial escort from the FA-50, a light attack aircraft produced domestically, highlighting the significance of his visit. Additionally, welcoming videos played on big screens along Sejongdaero in central Seoul, as well as on Lotte World Tower and N Seoul Tower.

The official welcoming ceremony will include a traditional honor guard, a military band, and a performance of Egyptian songs by the Gunpo City Boys and Girls Choir.

Approximately 70 guests from various sectors of both countries will attend the state luncheon, which will conclude with a performance by Black String, a contemporary music quartet from South Korea.
